Connectivity
via
Purchased Bandwith
Network leverage
A nationwide bank asked Druid to design a
network based on purchased bandwidth that would
allow efficient data exchange among bank
branches. Druids solution was to marry
AT&Ts local access packet net services
to the banks LANs, creating practical,
economical branch access to enterprise data and
establishing enterprise-wide data communication.
This gave the bank a competitive advantage over
banks that lacked similar enterprise connectivity
or had obtained it through expensive and
management-intensive private dedicated facility
networks.
