Ben Martinez and Jacquie Block

Ben Martinez and Jacquie Block have worked in visual and written communications for 25 years in careers that have spanned fine arts, education, graphic design and, in recent years, the special considerations of graphics for the Internet. The third edition of their graphic design textbook, Visual Forces, is scheduled for publication by Simon & Schuster in 1998. Recent projects have included web graphics for corporate clients and small businesses as well as more traditional design and illustration for clients in publishing ranging from Cambridge University Press to WoodenBoat magazine. They also do writing and editing for clients in the electronics and health care industries, non-profits, and the arts.
